I loved the power of this dryer - however it gets VERY hot and can burn your hand if you touch the metal. Also - it is quite heavy to hold.Mine started to smell like smoke so I had to throw it out- it didnt last too long. But the power was great.

My salon used Solano so I was scoping out the one I wanted for a while (they used a 3600 Pro). I could not be happier with this purchase of model 3500. After my old dryer (which was also more than $100 a few years back) went bad - I decided to take the plunge with this one.Simply put, it is amazing. Drys my thick hair so quick and leaves an amazing sheen to it. The settings are very cool and the dryer itself is very light (weight wise). WONDERFUL!!

My wife loves the dryer. She typically gets up in the AM before I do. This hair dryer has a lower register for the motor rather than the normal high pitched whine. She says it's efficient and she can run the fan speed on low. (Good for the guy trying to sleep so it's a win-win)!I purhcased thru total vac. Shipping was speedy and product was new in box as promised. Very satisfied.

This dryer is awesome, BUT whomever designed it didn't think!!!! They put the on/off high/low/ buttons on the handgrip! I keep turning the thing off while trying to dry my hair. It has a loooonnnnngggg cord!! Love that, great power, dries hair fast (if you don't have to keep turning it BACK on). That really gets me. Otherwise it's a keeper.

This SuperSolano hair dryer replaced a similar Solano dryer that we had used every day for about 12 years (much longer than any other brand we have used).This new one is just like the old one: Professional quality, great performance and worth every penny. I fully expect to get at least 10-15 years of use from it.Also, Amazon's price on this dryer was very good.

This is a great hair dryer . . while it was working. It is heavier than my other dryer, but it dries my curly hair smooth in record time. After less than a month of use something came loose inside and I have to return it under the mfg. warranty. I bought the dual voltage model for an upcoming trip to India.

This is actually one of the best hair dryers on the market. I have had mine for 10 years and its still alive and well. Its a high powered Hair dryer that is used by professionals. It is great for straightening and smoothing curly/straight hair. I would suggest that keeping it away from your scalp so as not to burn yourself...

I borrowed my sister-in-law's hairdryer while visiting her and fell in love with this hairdryer. I immediately came home and bought one on Amazon.com. I have very thick hair and it normally takes a long time to dry. This blowdryer is very fast drying and has all the settings you could ever need. The cord is super-long. This comes in very handy when trying to dry my two year old's hair as she moves all over the bathroom! It's a little heavy, but that's the price you pay for the power in it. I don't find it uncomfortable in any way. I highly recommend this hairdryer and am hoping that it lasts. I have only had it 2 months so far. Last time I got my haircut, I realized that my hairdresser was using the same hairdryer on me and the place I go to actually sells them (but it was slightly more than what I paid on Amazon).

The hair dryer is great. It is very powerful, so if you are looking for a low speed, this isn't the dryer for you. Dries hair very quick but impossible to style using dryer and round brush. I tried to return for a dryer with lesser power. Beauty Basics told me Solano doesn't take their items back so I should call them about returning it to them. I phoned Solano. They do give you 30 days and said they would switch it out for me with another dryer even though I didn't buy it from them. They said they do not sell to Beauty Basic. I don't know where they get their products from. So Solano is reputable, Beauty Basics is not.

Read the description of the product carefully. It is misleading to state the motor only weights only 13 ounces, when the dryer, by far, weighs more than that.Also, when you depress the key for the "cold shot", it' take some effort to hold it down. Not the best functionality.I would NOT buy this again.

This was the worst purchase ever. The dryer has no power and hardly gets warm let alone hot. The cord got so tangled, And wrapped upon itself I could no longer use the dryer. I tried to return the dryer but to much time had passed. Awful for a professional dryer. Terrible do not buy this dryer.

This is the best hair dryer I have ever owned. Prior to purchasing it I was skeptical; could an expensive hair dryer really be that much better than a $40 or $50 model? The answer is yes. I have medium length, thick hair with a slight wave that I blow straight every day. This hair dry reduced my drying time by approximately 10 minutes and leaves my hair soft, smooth and static free and is super light. I will definitely purchase this hair dryer again.

I wanted that salon blow dry every day, so I called up my stylist and asked what hair dryer he had. After navigating Italian websites I found my Solano and got it shipped here. Yes, it was an expensive hair dryer, but my (then) long, thick, curly hair needed power. Solano delivered and I loved that dryer to the bitter end: a drop. Granted, I had dropped this thing at least a hundred times before and it always worked afterwards, but it must have been its time to go.Once I took apart my faithful friend (they make it easy) and determined there was no salvaging the plastic shelf that held the motor steady, I knew my next hair dryer would also be a Solano, especially since minus that drop, that thing would have gone another five years no problem.I am happy that Solano dryers are more easily purchased in the US now, and after carefully debating the 3700moda vs. 3600ion I went with the 3700moda for its compactness and overall power, plus the reviews that hair was dried very quickly, something important to me. Amazon shipped it quickly and once my new hairdryer arrived, I was already pleased. The look of the dryer is very sexy, with black glitter paint, a red and silver filter cover, and a long 12 foot cord.The quickness was there, it does dry very fast, and it doesn't seem to dry out my hair or make it frizzy at all.
